Our Work
Since 2012, we have sought to create positive social impact by helping build inclusive and sustainable policies and programs to help the most vulnerable communities.
At Swaniti, we believe in strong democratic institutions and effective, equitable public services. We engage with central and state governments to provide technical assistance in improving public service delivery for the most vulnerable and marginalized people.
Across South Asia, decision-makers are working to enact sustainable change for their people. Unfortunately, their ability to do so is limited by insufficient knowledge of and data-driven insights into the issues affecting the most vulnerable. This is compounded by a lack of human capital, capacity, and the technological tools needed to complement the efforts of changemakers.
Government leaders with the political will to drive change may not have the expertise to draft robust policy on issues outside of their expertise, or may be too removed from the grassroots and village level to developed targeted interventions.
Our Theory of Change
Grounding our understanding of the issues in data-driven research and analysis
Our team of policy and development experts have extensive experience on the ground, embedded in districts and states across India.
We believe that change will begin by engaging this expertise to research issues and collect data in partnership with local communities, leveraging their knowledge and perspectives.
Engaging with communities, governments, and private sector companies
Understanding the issues at the grassroots level allows us to engage with leaders in the public and private sectors in an intentional way from the community to state to national level.
From there we can build stronger policies, implement targeted programs, build capacity, strengthen networks, and enable others.
Enabling effective and accessible basic services
In doing so, we believe we can bridge the last-mile gaps and ensure the most vulnerable and marginalized populations have the tools to grow and thrive.
Ultimately, we believe that it is not too late to enact change, making a difference for the climate and a positive impact across numerous other areas – but only if we work together at every level.
Climate change affects our environment, our economies and employment, and our physical and social health.
We’re working tirelessly to change that through these ongoing projects.

We are also focused on sustainable agriculture, working to ensure long-term growth and increased farmer income through improved agricultural productivity. We are working on the distribution of solar dryers and solar cold storage units, allowing farmers to sell dehydrated produce for a higher profit and store produce longer while improving access to markets.
